Traci Farmer

Salon Owner • Head Stylist • Virtue Labs Educator

Traci is a fourth-generation hair stylist, native to Raleigh, NC who specializes in multi-dimensional color techniques, both classic and modern hair cutting, as well as keratin treatments and special occasion styles. She attended Mitchell’s Academy and Troutman’s Cosmetology School but before starting her journey as a hairdresser, Traci attended The Art Institute of Atlanta, GA. She’s recognized within her community for her extensive collection of fine art paintings she has produced over the years.

Before settling into her role as a salon owner in Raleigh, Traci lived and worked in Los Angeles, where she worked in Beverly Hills alongside an array of multi-talented hair stylists and salon owners. In 2001, Traci opened Crazy Combs in downtown Raleigh. In 2014, Traci became a brand ambassador and worked in Research and Development for a Raleigh start-up business, Virtue Labs, which has since expanded into an internationally acclaimed, award-winning bio-tech beauty brand known for its innovative approach to hair technology. Traci has also served on the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Arts since she was appointed by the governor in 2020.

When she’s not behind the chair, you can catch Traci at the nearest roller skating rink, making art, camping in the mountains, relaxing at the beach, playing with her gentle giant, Orson, a four year old Saint Bernard, or spending quality time with her family and friends.
